展覧会について
We are exhibiting at 「Seminar Exhibition 2025」, which will be held at Design Hab(Midtown Tower 5F), Roppongi Midtown from June 19, 2025.
Three projects that Taishi Watanabe Laboratory is working on, “Container Garden”, “Xover Parts”, and “Purposeless Theater” are exhibited.
The venue configuration overlaps the relationship between the above three project concentrations and one big story that connects the three projects.

2025年5月19日から東京ミッドタウン、デザインハブ（ミッドタウンタワー・5階）で開催されるゼミ展2025に出展しています。
渡邊大志研究室で取り組んでいる３つのプロジェクト、「Container Garden」、「Xover Parts」、「Purposeless Theater」を展示しています。
会場構成は、以上の３つのプロジェクト同心の関係性と、３つのプロジェクトえおつなぐ１つの大きな物語を重ねあわせたものです。

4つの物語
The story depicts the process of a single animal starting to walk on two legs, becoming human by creating tools, eventually creating a space with the tools it created, and building a community with its friends who share the space.
物語では、1匹の動物が2足歩行を始め、道具を作り出すことで人間になり、やがて作った道具を用いて空間をつくり、空間を共有する仲間とともに共同体を作り上げる過程を描きました。

展示計画
The narrative structure is superimposed on the three projects to create an exhibition sequence. Xover Parts” is the first tool created by animals, ‘Container Garden’ is the space created by the collection of parts, and ‘Purposeless Theater’ is a community that extends into the city.
物語の構成を、３つのプロジェクトと重ね合わせることで１つの展示順路を作り出します。動物が作り出した始めての道具である「Xover Parts」、部品の集合によりできた空間が「Container Garden」、都市へと広がり１つの共同体を作り上げている「Purposeless Theater」という流れです。

Xover Parts プロジェクト
The Xover Parts project exhibits diagrams that show how things can be without being bound by function, as well as products created in cooperation with outside craftspeople. In the diagram, each product is systematized as Xover Parts, each related to and contrasting with the other.

For this exhibition, we created new products, “Kagura” and “Obscura”. In particular, “Kagura” is exhibited in two different ways, in addition to being attached to the wooden structure of the Container Garden Project.
The actual products developed will be exhibited together with a mountain of animals that appear in the story.

本展覧会に際して新たなプロダクトである「カグラ」や「Obscura」を制作しました。特に「カグラ」は、コンテナガーデンプロジェクトの木組みに取りつく展示に加えて、2種類の組み方を展示しています。

Purposeless Theater プロジェクト
The Purpose-less Theater Project proposed a new theater space based on the theme of publicness, where every place and space can become a theater.

Since October of last year, we have been pursuing the four spatial elements that make up theater space and their spaces to create a new urban theater in the plaza in front of Tokyo Station.
By bringing together multiple spaces, a community through theatricality is generated in the city.

Container Garden プロジェクト
The Container Garden Project recreates a Finnish garden in an original container made of wood. Environmental architect Maiju Suomi provided advice on plant selection in order to recreate a unique Finnish garden using plants that are also native to Japan.
コンテナ・ガーデンプロジェクトは、木材で制作したオリジナルのコンテナにフィンランドの庭を再現しました。日本でも自生する植物でフィンランド特有の庭を再現するために、植物の選定時は環境建築家Maiju Suomi氏に助言をいただきました。

Visitors are free to walk on the floor in the Container Garden. There are steps, so please watch your step when going up and down. For safety reasons, we ask that no more than four people visit at a time.
コンテナ・ガーデン内は、床の上を歩いて自由にご見学ください。段差がございますので、上り下りの際は足元にご注意くださいませ。恐れ入りますが、安全のため四名様以上での同時見学はご遠慮いただいております。
Container Garden will be exhibiting at the Setagaya Gardening Fair 2025 (in Setagaya Park from 10~16 pm) on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. Therefore, the exhibit will be closed for four days from June 6 (Fri.) to 9 (Mon.).
We will hold a workshop for children along with the garden exhibit at Setagaya Garden. We look forward to seeing you there.

コンテナ・ガーデンは、6月7日（土）、8日（日）に開催するせたがやガーデニングフェア2025 (in 世田谷公園10~16時)に出展します。そのため、6月6日（金）～9日（月）までの4日間は展示をお休みしております。
世田谷公園では、庭の展示とともに、子ども向けのワークショップを開催します。皆様のご来場を、お待ちしております。

卒論ゼミ
Taishi Watanabe Laboratory holds a joint graduation thesis seminar for fourth-year undergraduate students and second-year master's students every year.

In the seminar, each student will be given three books, taking into account his or her interests and background, and shares their impressions and analysis of the books with each other.
ゼミでは、一人ひとりの興味と背景を考慮した上で3冊の本を与えられ、本に対する感想と分析を共有し合います。
It was refreshing to have the seminar in a place other than the laboratory where I usually spend my time.
普段過ごしている研究室ではない場所でのゼミは、とても新鮮でした。

Container Garden Meeting
Ms.Maiju Suomi, a Finnish environmental architect and co-researcher of this study, and Mr. Jaakko Nousiainen, Director of the Finland Center, visited the seminar exhibition in Roppongi, today.
本日は、本研究の共同研究者・フィンランドの環境建築家Maiju Suomi氏、フィンランドセンター所長Jaakko Nousiainenが六本木のゼミ展にいらっしゃいました。

Watanabe and Ms. Suomi discussed the prospects for Container Garden in the future.
渡邊とSuomi氏は、コンテナガーデンの今後における展望について話し合いました。
Mr.Nousiainen is the bridge between Japan and Finland in this joint project, and he plays a very important role in international exchange and cooperation with other institutions.
Nousiainen氏は、この共同プロジェクトにおける日本とフィンランドの架け橋として働き、他機関との国際交流や連携において非常に重要な役割を果たします。
The visitors were able to see inside the containers and understand more about Xover Parts and the theater project. We hope you will look forward to the future activities of the joint research project.
