From June 11 to 23, 2024, the second "Window Project Exhibition" was held in the first-floor gallery of the Shiga Prefectural Museum of Art in Otsu, Shiga.
The exhibition was an expansion of the first exhibition held in 2023. For more information about the exhibition, the venue, and related events, please watch below.
2024年6月11日から6月23日まで、滋賀・大津にある滋賀県立美術館の1階ギャラリーにて第二回「窓計画展」が開催されました。
「窓計画展」は、窓は大きい壁を開く媒体であろうという考え方を共有することから始まり、50名ほどの小集団が窓を介して対話しつつ発展させている運動です。2023年に開催された展覧会の規模を拡大して開催しました。展示、会場の様子、関連催事については、以下をご覧ください。

This exhibition featured giant panels showing the background of the transition that cave (Grotto) turns to an window(窓) through industry and its emergence as a Mado(間戸) integrated with the space through the pursuit of beauty,
as well as exhibits that served as a medium for experiencing the explanations.
本展覧会では、洞穴(グロッタ)が産業を通して開口部に変遷し、美の追及により空間と一体化したマドとして現れた背景にある「窓」の存在を示す巨大パネルと、説明を体験する媒体となる展示物を展示しました。

On June 11, when we visited, there was a lecture by Dr. Takeshi Ito (standing committee member of the Urban History Association and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo)
in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the Museum of Art, Shiga Prefecture. The title of the lecture was "Windows in Urban History," and the audience was able to listen to a valuable
lecture that traversed both Japanese and Western history. The moderator, Professor Osamu Ishiyama, also introduced the significance of the "Window" exhibition and the East-West joint
exhibition scheduled for fall at the Otani Museum of Art in Tokyo (former Furukawa Residence, a nationally designated important cultural property, designed by Josiah Conder).
訪れた6月11日には、滋賀県立美術館1階レクチャーホールにて、伊藤毅先生の（都市史学会常任委員・東京大学名誉教授）基調講義がありました。
「都市史のなかの「窓」」というタイトルで日本史と西洋史を横断する貴重な講義を伺うことができました。また、司会の石山修武先生に窓展の意義と、
秋に予定している東京の大谷美術館（旧古河邸/国指定重要文化財・設計：ジョサイア・コンドル）での東西合同展について紹介していただきました。
