美しく咲く花もいつかは枯れてしまいますが、花を形作っていたものは土に還り、新たな命と形を生み出す材料となります。 初花は、その一瞬の姿を凝固した花の骨格を想像してデザインされたオブジェクトです。 単体では自立できない「茎」と、茎のための穴を穿たれた「花弁」を組み合わせることで成立し、機能が生まれます。 陶磁器によって、花のやわらかな曲線と、骨の硬質さを表現しています。 先すぼまりでわずかに湾曲した形の「茎」は、それ自体では不安定で自立することができませんが、穴と厚みを持つ「花弁」に差し込むことで安定して立つことができます。 茎は素焼きで磁器土の質感をそのまま残しています。「花弁」の形は3種類からお選びいただけます。 「花弁」の表面には、鮮やかな地に黒斑の散る鉄赤釉を施しています。釉薬の模様(景色)は焼成によってさまざまに変化するため、一人一人の手元に届く花弁は唯一無二の景色を持ちます。 小さな花や、愛用品や、空間を彩る初花を是非お手元に置いてみてください。 |
